Default Using camera as magnifier... Is there an "autofocus"?

The application "nokia magnifier" for s60v3 devices turns out to not be necessary for s60v5 since you can already use the camera to do this. (see article http://forum.dailymobile.net/index.p...ic,2010.0.html ).
My question is: how to zoom in with the camera to magnify(i.e. fine print text) and have it auto focus. On my 5800, if you zoom in(even in close-up mode), it will be out of focus unless you keep the shutter button halfway pressed to force it to focus(as if you were preparing to take a photo). I looked for an autofocus feature but can't find one, and keeping the shutter button exactly halfway pressed the whole time without actually taking a photo gets old real fast!
I'm sure there must be an easy solution to this...Any ideas?
    Thanks

I just tried this with a Nokia 6500 slide, and you can also just use the built in camera zoom to magnify like in the 5800xm, no special program needed.
But there is still the same deal: after you zoom in, you have to hold down the shutter button to make it focus(the phone has to think you're about to take a photo for it to focus...). Still can't find a way around this.
To get to the point: if you're trying to read a lot of fine print using the camera zoom as a magnifier, it would be easier to not have to keep holding down the shutter button to force it to focus. The difference is that the 6500 slide doesn't seem to allow the button to be half-pressed like the shutter button on the 5800xm, so when you finally let go it will take the picture.
It's no huge deal, but seems like there could be an easier way.

well. the 5800 has no permanent autofocus.. thats why it only works with pressing the camerabutton halfway.

Thanks guys! This program(eyezoom) is just what I was looking for! Great for reading fine print, and you only have to touch the screen once for it to focus! And it has an on-screen zoom controller, much faster than using the volume keys to zoom!
    Perfect, thanks again!
