Same problem i had....Here's the solution:
    1. Make sure your computers on Windows Media Player 10 (MP11 **bleep** it up every time)

    2. Put phone in Mass Storage mode (its in the settings/connectivity/USB section)

    3. Plug in the USB cable and go to Windows Explorer

    4. Navigate to the private folder on your phone and delete folder 10208913

    5. Unplug USB cable

    6. Turn off the phone

    7. Plug the USB cable back in to the computer

    8. Turn on the phone

    9. Change back to PC Suite mode in settings/connectivity/USB

    10. MTP will now load ok and everything should be tickety boo

I was using my 5800XM (V40) to browse internet thru my laptop and USB cable earlier. Recently I formatted my laptop and re-loaded Windows XP Prof. and installed latest PC suit thru Nokia website. Now I have problem in accessing internet thru One Touch Access of PC suit. I get the following message:

"There is no Nokia modems installed. Pl. make sure you have installed Nokia Connecting Cable Driver software - No modem found"

When I click New Hardware Found Wizard, I get the following message:

MTP Device - CDC Comms Interface
" Can not install the hardware. There is a problem installing the hardware. CDC Comms Interface.
An error occured during the installation of the device. A service installation section in the INF is invalid"

Can any one help me sort out this please?

When you reloaded Win XP, you probably ended up with Windows Media Player 11. If so, follow the solution provided above by Tigerstyle9. I had the same usb driver problem("MTP device" crap) and that solution worked for me.
To roll back your Media Player version, go into control panel>add or remove programs>Windows Media Player 11 and click "change/remove". It will ask if you want to roll it back to a previous version, click "yes".
Also would be a good idea to reboot your computer after roll back.
    Good luck

I removed WM Player as roll back option was not there. Deleted folder 10208913 and followed the steps given by Tigerstyle9. Hardware Update Wizard still shows following message:

CDC Comms Interface - Can not install Hardware

When I go to Control Panel and trying to install Nokia Modem, I get message as below:
Window was unable to install the Modem

My 5800 is able to connect to internet with my Deasktop thru' One Touch Accsess which indicated nothing wrong with mobile. How do I sort out this issue with my laptop.
