Default Video Playback Problems in Nokia 5800

Hello Guys.. this is my first time to post a question, forgive me if I get mistaken. I have a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music v40 which pleases me so much except for :

    - the video player freezes when playing 500 MB to 700 MB video files (full length movies) after 20 minutes or so.. it doesn't respond to any commands..

    - i experienced a similar problem when using firmware v.31

    - i have several video files in my phone, the ones around 300 MB which are 30 mins in length plays smoothly without a hitch..

    - i used format factory to convert them

Is this because of hardware limitations that fails to process full length movies that plays for an extended time? If you have the same problems or if you want to share your thoughts, please reply.. Thank you very much..

That video size itself should not be a problem.
If the phone is in good condition with sufficient RAM, then perhaps, the memory card is in bad shape (that would not be the first time).
Larger files have more more data spread on memory sectors, and so higher the chances of data reading errors.
Formatting the memory card might cure the issue temporarily, but a better quality memory card should fix the problem.

Thanks for your reply usta.. I haven't thought of the memory card problems, that's probably the culprit. I tried converting my videos again using the default settings in format factory, last night I tried playing one, I noticed the video jerked for a half a second 3 times I guess but it didn't freeze. It played from start to finish. Originally, I converted the videos to 16:9 aspect ratio instead of automatic. That's probably the reason also but I'm not sure. Thanks for your thoughts..

I have the same problem too, before i upgrade to v40 it's v31 used to play video clip 3-10menit long at my nokia 5800, and then i upgrade it to v40 (not hard reset)and it no problem, but after i upgrade it to ver 40 with hack from PHNT, only 3 from 100 video may play, and some only play 3 second and freeze. some of the video that been recorded from other nokia phone also can't play.
the message is cannot play the video.
maybe it the bug from real player update, idk, just a thougth.
    anyone have better solution?
i just can't wait for core player fro s60v5
