I have a few questions here.

The product code for my N97 is 0586301 as in firmware v.11.0.21 and the v.12 .0.4 code is 0576130, can I just flash it? or do I need to download JAF and change the product code from 0586301 to 0576130 before updating?

    Thanks!!
If you check for updates using your first code and it says v11 is the latest version, then you'll have to change it to the second code or another code that works.

Hey thanks for the reply phoneage, I think I failed to put my question correctly. I'm actually using phoenix, the firmwares are downloaded, so I just need to change the code in phoenix, then update it. Any idea if I change the code from A to B and update using B code, then change the code back to A after updating, any possibly of bricking the phone?

    Thanks once again!!

Oh ok, i misunderstood :] No, changing the code after upgrading won't brick your phone.

Product code can be only changed via JAF or phoenix. Via Navifirm you can only download firmware files to you computer, not change product code.

Product code can also be changed using NSS.
