    @hayyanh,
You can have a look yourself in Navifirm for a code with Arabic pack.
Alternatively, I (or someone else) can check if for you (I can do that only this evening, so please have patience).

    @hayyanh,
    Look here for Navifirm: http://forum.dailymobile.net/index.p...ic,1255.0.html
You can all product codes there (including Arabic).

Looks like there is only one product code for v31.2.101 (0577454: RM-428 NAM Region US - MR).
The older FW versions should have Arabic (for example V31.2.008 with 0581748: Israel Black), but you cannot downgrade it.
I'm afraid you will have to wait for those old product codes to reach v31.2.101, after which you can reinstall the FW.

There is also the risky way: you could for example try a product code that is from the international edition: RM-356.
    For example:
    0559408: MENA_A RED
    0573765: MENA_B BLACK
    0574291: MENA_C RED
    0574324: MENA_D RED
    0574328: MENA_E RED
The above codes are v31.0.101 (the equivalent of v31.2.101).
However, I cannot confirm the effect of such a change.

There is now new code for v31.2.101 with Arabic. No need for the risky way to update to RM-356. Check the thread below:

Hi, first of all - I have just changed my RM-428 firmware, and now have chinese!! xiexie, thanks so much for this post.

I want to use the chinese language. Thanks in advance.
    Here is what I did:

    equipment:

-computer running Win XP Pro, SP3
-USB port providing more than 500mA power
    -Nokia 5800XM RM-428
    -USB cable CM-101
    -JAF software 1.98.62
    -OGM_JAF_PKEY_Emulator_v4
-Navifirm (or go to this website: http://www.btusers.com.ar/nan/nokia )

As I was hoping to get some improvements to the phones interface and speed, I updated the firmware with PC Suite. The product code on mine is 0561618, so I ended up loosing the Chinese that was on there from when I bought it here in Beijing.

I then thought to change the product code, but in the end did not need to. So here is what I did:

    1. download the complete set of firmware for 0581747, choosing version 31.02.08 APAC2 (that one has Philipino as language only)
    2. download the language file for the same product but a previous version: 30.2.011 RM-428_30.2.011_prd.rofs2.V19
    3. save them in different places so you have them handy when you need
4 Open the following folder: C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-428 (if it does not exist, create it!)
    5. make a copy of all files downloaded in step 1. to this folder (that should be 7 files in all)
    6. in that folder, locate the file named: RM-428_31.2.008_prd.rofs2.V19, and copy its name. Then trash it; empty trash
    7. copy the file you downloaded in step 2. to the same folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-428 and rename it to RM-428_31.2.008_prd.rofs2.V19 (use copy/paste)
    8. Start up JAF, using the Emulator key software.
    9. Connect the USB cable to the powered off Nokia 5800
    10. Follow the instructions posted elsewhere if in doubt, but basically click on the BB5 tab, then check the following: 'Manual flash', 'Dead USB', Normal mode' and 'Use INI' in the Flash Settings field. All other boxes should be unchecked.
    11. The JAF software will load the relevant files and you hit the FLASH button. Click ok on the warnings
    12. Shortly after it will prompt you to POWER UP PHONE. Switch the phone on!
    13. a few minuted later you should have a phone that now sports firmware v31.02.08 language set 22

Good Luck, worked fine for me, despite the previous problem I had. I think the key here is, not to change the product code and to keep within the correct RM version (RM-428 in this case), as I did not get far with the Chinese language file from the RM-427.

Previously I tried to use the RM-427_30.0.011.1_prd.rofs2.V25 file from RM-427 China black, but the phone ended up in a restart loop, despite showing signs of having Chinese on it. Resetting and taking out the battery did not help. Eventually I got a notice on the display saying I should take it to the dealer (in Chinese).

I then had to reset it using the current firmware, but it did not get recognized and I needed to do a 'Dead USB' flash with JAF. The phone needs to be off when starting. Then switch it on, when prompted by JAF at the beginning of the flashing process
