Its basically down to the fact that QT C++ is far more logical then Symbian C++ meaning its easier to port apps developed in Objective C and Dalvik.
This means developers can modify the core code to work as QT easily (for a developer :P ) and then make a UI using the excellent tools in the QT SDK

the CPU is underclocked to save battery the cpu can be overclocked to 1ghz without getting damaged (example e72 same cpu but it run at 600mhz the battery has 1500 mAh nokia 5800 has 1320)

if 5800 is dead, then so is c6, which basically is the same as 5800 with a bit better cam and keyboard. ohh and did i mention that EVERY other nokia s60v5 phone (not n has the same 434mhz processor and 128mb ram?

5800 is long from dead my dear..... if 5800 dies, nokia dies too.
