try again and again. this is normal. also try this.

insert the phone into the usb cable without the battery. when it says "searching for phone"

place the battery back in and don't press anything.

    let us know.

Default Re: Flashing your Bricked/Dead Nokia 5800 phone using Phoenix

    Hi,

I tried flashing my nokia N97 with phoenix and end up at 99% with this error:

''The flashing failed. Do you like to retry the flashing?

    HRESULT 0x8401f153 (-2080247469)

Flash: Unable to communicate with the device after flashing. Check USB connections!''

I before this had RM-505 fw 20.0.019 on it, flashed with phoenix, could'nt hack it because i did'nt find any rompatcher that should be installed after the procedure.

I upgraded with nokia-update to RM505 fw 21.0.045, and tried again using the guidelines as specified. Now i get the message like much users had:

"Product flashing failed. Getting list of files to be flash failed: 0x84210021 (-2078212063) - CRC checksum of file 'C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-507\RM505_507_20.0.019_uda_1_001.uda.fpsx' does not match with the checksum in data-package"

So i use the solution what helped a lot of users out:
I go start off by using all the original firmware files that you downloaded from navifirm.
Then the warning message pop up:
"An optional file is missing. The file is: RM505_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.fpsx. Would you like to continue the flashing?"
Then i ran Windows Explorer, and copy my hacked image file to the exact same directory as all the other firmware files that you downloaded from navifirm.

Now it runs smootly until it reaches 99%, then the telehone-display starts flashing and the message "HRESULT 0x8401f153 (-2080247469)" gets prompted.

I tried again with the dead-phone guide to flash the original fw, but everytime the same, it breaks of just for the end.

    This is the complete protocoll:

    Flashing started
    Creating product data items list
    Product data items list created
    Backup not required

Default Re: Flashing your Bricked/Dead Nokia 5800 phone using Phoenix

No, phone is dead, just vibrates after i put it on.
When flashing with Phoenix (deadphone-mode) all fine till 98%, then display start to flash all different kind off colors and connection breaks. Phoenix attempts to get connection 25 times, but fails.

    Productcode is RM505 - 0587245 FW 21.0.45 (holland)

This Firmware update of 21.0.45 i made like i said 1 day earlier, because i was'nt able to flash my 20.0.019 fw succesfully (no rompatcher after flashing)

I was very sure that after reading the thread of 'timmacnaughton' at page 16 from the 'Hack by PNTH'-thread, my problem of not be able to flash and finding the rompatcher will be solved. But then this.

Maybe i should'nt had flash it with the official nokia updater?

What can i still do to bring this brick to life again?
