I have bricked my phone by installing the "christmas theme". I have purchased the phone in USA. The product code is: 0575384 USA (Made in Hungary). Where do I get the firmware for this ? I have downloaded the EMEA, APAC, MENA, SWAP 11.0.008 v2 files but could not find the US product code in them. Any suggesgtions ?

This is my situation... I was given a German 5800 Blue (EMEA firmware i think) by a friend but I live in Malaysia. I understand that I must use the APAC file and select Malaysia Blue to flash my working phone.

Will this automatically change my product code from German to Malaysian?

Or do i change it manually?

    1. It will not change your product code (You cant install Malaysian firmware on German product code).
    2. you need to change it manually.

although when i start phoenix and after choosing "open product" phoenix gives an error after asking me to turn on the phone which states the following ==>
" Unable to set the phone to flash mode. "
what can be the cause of this error

    Thanks in advance

Please do check your Device Manager, ensure there is no yellow bang on 'Nokia USB Phone Parent'. If recognise, it should says "Nokia 5800ExpressMusic USB Phone Parent'.
In order to make this successful, reinstall your PCSuite. Reboot the machine, then plug your 5800xm to the USB. Please ensure the USB Phone Parent is recognise.

Then, you can close all related to PCSuite application, run phoenix. just follow the same step and you will see the USB icon on phoenix is connected and after RM-356 box, there is a box that will inform you of the current version of your phone firmware. If there is no information of your current version firmware on the box, you can't flash update your phone.

It will take around 5 - 10 minutes for the complete upgrade.

Just pay an attention on those yellow highlighted on the pictures.
