My battery is almost a year old, and lo and behold it suddenly died on me without warning. It just wont turn on. I just turned off my phone normally and then it wont...It wont even charge. Though there was a problem with the phone, but no, so I decided to try get another battery. It worked. Oh yeah, I have about 2 days battery life before it died. I wonder if your batteries' ages arent just showing with the lifespan dropping.
My battery is... 7 months old (November 2009).
Don't notice a big difference yet. Experienced v.31 to v.50 now.

Yep that was the problem. My battery lifespan did not show any changes. It even got a little better before it just died.

My battery is 1 year and 3 months old... It was going very strong till v40 came. If you compare v50 battery with v40, then v50 is better. But still not as good as v30 and below. Earlier my phone used to go 2-3 days continuously.

There is a problem with the v50 firmware.
I used the Nokia Energy Profiler app to verify that. My phone usually consumes 0.04W in standby. When I go to work (10 miles from my house), the phone starts to consume 0.25w. This is the problem. If i reboot the phone, the consume returns to 0.04W. When i go back to my home, same problem. I think the problem is related to the exchange of cellular antennas.

My battery is about 1 year and 4 months and it lasts about 2 days maximum 3. I gotta admit that if i only talk it lasts 4 days, 4 days and a half . An when i say talk i mean 2-5 minutes only with a person maximum 10 persons per day. If you talk hours and listen to music and surf the net, and other stuff (games, videos, etc..) clearly you will have to charge the battery almost every day. Talking drains your battery incredible.

The problem is that Nokia has released the v50 firmware without testing it properly, the forums are full of people complaining about it. The battery life lasts only six hours, the phone freezes when playing videos, and the browser is slow. How come this happens in a company like Nokia, when all software is reviewed again and again?

Hmmmmm... Interesting because my battery life still same. But v40 and v50 is much eater then v31. I read a stupid thing in another forum about this topic. They suggest taking the battery out and put it again in 5 or 10 seconds. I did it (whatever it's stupid or not) and it's really correct my battery icon.
