Well you also have to consider 3D acceleration which Symbian^3 will have none of the Symbian^1 phones have hardware to do that.

Not true. My Sony Ericsson Satio supports 3D acceleration.

Oh wait, yeah, sorry, I didnt notice that in the hardware list before (PowerVR SGX graphics). ^_^. So it will be up to sony then. The last problem would be the resistive screen of the Satio, whether or not it's possible, since AFAIK Symbian^3 would have multitouch. It would be up to Sony then.

    Ghehe, no problem
But the screen is capacitive. And why is it up to Sony? Can't I flash it myself, as suggested a few posts back?

As I mentioned above, my Satio has 3D acceleration. And more RAM isn't necessary with Symbian.

dont know about satio, 5800 has no 3d acceleration.nevertheless symb^3 has 256 RAM and 600cpu if i not wrong. And capacative touchscreen with multitouch. So i think that u cannot enjoy all symb^3 abilities with Your phone.

Sure I can. I have a Satio. It has 3D acceleration, and more than 256 RAM. Plus it has a capacitive touchscreen.
