    Hey there,
just went thru this thread and haven't found anything about it (sorry if it's already covered somewhere in this thread)

When flashing, I get a message saying that the flash files are corrupted or missing, right after it tries to reboot the phone to flash mode. I got them via navifirm and copied them to nokia/phoenix/products. Don't think there's something wrong here, is it?

But then I get that message. I unplug the usb cable, turn it on, still working on it's original firmware and all - normal.

    Any insights?
    Thanks!

    mufaddal please help me
I just bought the 5800 like a week ago, I changed the product code to the APAC one hoping I would get the chinese fonts. No update whatsoever via NSU as the phone was already the latest version firmware when I bought it.
SO I decided to flash it with JAF now its bricked.

I'm following the tuts carefully and properly and still no luck. It will flash successfully but the phone doesn't turn on. All it does is flash a blank screen and vibrate then nothing.

I'm still flashing it now to see it'll work with the APAC 1 firmware from NAVIFIRM
    still no luck

Now I'm very sad and feeling hopeless. Any help at all? Phoenix won't work for me and JAF does so I'd prefer to use JAF

Any ideas on how I can revive my phone? Should I flash it back to say the euro firmware?
Would it be okay since the prod code got changed to the apac one, and I flash a euro firmware to make my phone work again? Or does firmware and prod code have to be the same. If so theres no luck coz i've been flashing the apac firmware with no luck

    UPDATE2:::::::::::::::::::::

I flashed back the original firmware by finding the prod code on NAVFIRM but the prodcode on the phone is changed to apac from previously so is that a problem

Flashed successfully like all the other times above, but it never turns on. I disconnect the phone from usb, take the battery out then back in. And turn it on

ALl it just does is a blank black screen for like a second. Then a vibration. Then nothing happens.

Try reflashing your phone with org firmware.

@mufaddal: I made the new folder as you told. Still couldn't flash by JAF, but made it with Phoenix (which wasn't working too). Successful flashing in the end. Just need to wait for a Hong Kong v20 release (mine was already v20, so I couldnt downgrade). Sticking with tw by now.

    Many thanks!

Then you need to follow the steps in the tutorial, when you click to use ini in JAF that path is where it looks so make sure you put your files in there C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-356 and make sure that your battery is full cause it gave me some trouble when i had my charger plugged in.
This has already been posted many times, even on this page.
