how about trying to redownload the firmware files. they could be corrupted.

also, another thing to look at might be your usb ports.

    Dear members,
Thank you for the reaction/support. I did do all the recommendations, different usb ports/even different computer's (with win xp), redowloaded the FW/ even tried a different version of the same FW (399/blue), in aLL situations the same reaction.

I did read others did debrand the same phone with succes.

    What to do next.
    Greetings

well, if that's the case then the next step is to bring it to a repair center or, lastly, try a different usb cable. i did have an issue previously where i had an issue with a usb cable. changed it and it worked out great.

    Dear Members

Bringing it to nokia service repair, is not an option for me, that is too much compared to the phone, BTW it is a challange to do it yourself, with community help, right?

I did read from other members on this same forum, that they encountered exact the same error, but it is not very clear for me, how they solved it. I did read something about version 3 emulator, combined with changing the ini files.

I did try version 3 emulator (with Jaf .62), jaf still works, but the instruction about changing the ini file is not clear to me.

I continue looking for a solution, i do not think it has anything to do with the usb cable, I used this cable prior to flashing my phone, it worked o.k

I need to try JAF, since phoneix didn't quite work with my 3120c dead after trying to update via OVI suite (USB link lost while flashing, i guess).

anyway, the problem is JAF is that I can't either find an .ini file to use (Navifirm just lets me download 6 files, not 7...and the ini f file is the one missing, i'm afraid), nor manually select the 3 files to flash (the pop-up explorer window won't let me select anything, since the file extension isn't editable).

    Help, anyone?
