    you don't actually have to switch the phone on, you just have to press the power button for half a second when JAF asks you to.

    i know..i hav flashed so many cfw's..dats not the issue.

    Nope, not really mate. It's quite easy once you get the hang out it. Plus, if you have a question about something, don't hesitate to ask.

    Init usb communication...
    Can't detect flashing server!
    it always says this with my 5230 no matter if it is switched on in pc suite mode, or switched off. i also tried to take out and put back the battery (i read in a forum), but it doesnt work

    Try to use the back usb port of your pc

    Hey guys was wondering if you can help me

    I have a NORMAL (not dead), Nokia 5530 (RM-504). Which in upgrading to the latest firmware following the normal method.

    but i get this mid way through process when pressing 'flash':

    first off, untick crt 308 when flashing, secondly, switch to a usb 2.0 port.

    Thats a weird log. Try turning the phone off. Tick dead usb, normal mode and manual mnode. Untick crt then tick use ini and pick your phone. Then flash

    Edit. Late again :P

    Tried it and still hangs in the same place:
