Can anyone please let me know if we can do flashing:

    1) for downgrading the firmware
    2) for upgrading the firmware
    3) for just reinstalling the current firmware version if the latest firmware version available is same as that
of the firmware version installed in the device.

Please let me know, whichever point is applicable for flashing.
points 2 and 3 are okay,

point one will cause severe damage to your handset.

One thing more: i posted the original firmware version in my original. I checked from navifirm tool and also from nokia website that latest available firmware version is same as i already had. There was no update to firmware version. But, now after i get it corrected from market, it shows different version number which seems to be higher than my original firmware version (i am saying so because my original version was 5.0741. something and now, it shows 5.08 something.) can you please clarify this?
    My product code is 0531541
