    Can I downgrade to a lesser version with this technique? V30 back to V21 ...
    I see the "Downgrade" box...should I check that?

    Im having trouble how do i know what release my phone was?? i have n96 and it died during update.

    course you can - if you do this tho i woundnt advise restoring a backup taken from a newer firmware onto an older firmware
