Do I have to check "change also product code", "Factory settings", and " CRT 308". I did not check those three. And the new firmware for mine is 5800 RM-428, not RM-356, would that make difference? Thanks.

Use settings as shown in picture, then it will work for you.
And no it dosent matter if its rm-356 or rm-428

I am trying to follow the settings in your picture, but it asks me to select Ape Variant Flash File when I clicked the APE Variant button. Which file should I choose as Ape Variant Flash File? Thanks.

    Try unchecking APE_variant

I did the flash with APE Variant button unchecked, all the other setting are exactly the same with that in your picture, but the same error happened again. The JAF version I am using is 1.98.47. different from yours, would that be a problem? Thanks.

It could be some driver issue.

Hey I have a major problem: When I select "Use INI" JAF doesn't search for the firmware files, just says this:

    Detected P-KEY: 90009699
    P-key nokia module version 01.02
    Init usb communication...
    Failed! Aborting!

I've put those files exactly on place and it doesn't seem to work. My Nokia 5800 doesn't turn on after I've updated to v21.
    URGENT HELP PLEASE

I solved the problem via Phoenix, but I'm still wondering how to get it working in JAF.

    Dear Nasua,
Let me review what i understood from your method:

    You said:
Make sure you have fw file and you put in directory
    C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products
    or
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\DataPackage\Products

Iam going to download the firmware files from Navifirm and iam using JAF 1.98.62 and JAF_PKEY_Emulator_v 5
So where to put the the FW files : in pass 1 or 2 (the pass is not exist, should i creat?)

Then i will use the settings in your picture to upgrade the firmware for nokia 5800

    one more question:
I have allready on my nokia 5800 Firmware V21, which is the latest but i need to change the code (which i understood from you) But i want to install the firmware which include my language, How to do it? is there any other way than downgrade then upgrade!!!!!

Finally, what you mean by Language Packs? where to find? or you mean to find the code that include my language?

Is it Correct, please advice before i start.

    Best Regards
