Default Guide: Nokia 5800 security code recovery after firmware flash

Use JAF, you'll be able to read user code.

    Method 1

    1 - Select BB5 Tab

2 - Click on "User Code Edit

    3 - Click on "Service"
you'll have a new box, Click "Read"

Method 2 (This will reset your code to default 12345)

    1 - Select BB5 Tab

2 - Select Factory Settings Tab under the "Service Operations"

3 - Then click Service, device will restart.

    Good luck

(Tested by members, and it works)

(around 15 seconds) but still the screen is white - Test/Local Mode. So i remove the battery and start the phone, it asks the country (country/date-time selection) and viola! it reset the lock code to default 12345 thank you so much you did great!

Above method is working but I use new procedure to get it work....

My procedue...First give all credit to Nasua he saved our life.....

    1) first run JAF using OGM_JAF_PKEY_Emulator_v 5 ... click GO
    2) then Click BB5 tab and select Factory Settings Tab under the "service operations" and then click service ....
device will restart.....lock code error will totally fixed

I tried to write the lock code value using "user lock code edit" option but does'nt work for me...it says..cant read the lock code.. bla nla bla...credit also goes to mufaddal_km

    @max online..

the dct4 tab in jaf tool is for dct4 phones ...5800 is a bb5 phone .
i would not advise anyone to connect 5800 in jaf and use dct4 tab as it can brick your handset ..since it is not meant for bb5

if u want to do a factory reset and u are getting error in jaf tool its better to just use the 3 key salute method ( red/green/camera key)

Ohh sorry its my mistake...it will be BB5....i tried to read the lock code value....But got some error and cant rewrite the value...then I tried

Factory Settings Tab under the "service operations" and then click service ....volla device restart and lock code reset to 12345...

Even I tried 3 key salute method ( red/green/camera key) ..It helps me to hard reset but lock code error is there...so I tried your given method with my own process....don't know how its done but its done by My method....All credit goes to you And Nasua

ya i think u must have been in bb5 tab only ....good to correct your mistake or else we would have had a few more bricked handsets

anyways gr8 work by you ...so now if u cant edit security code just do factorty reset .

well there is an extension of jaf for reading security codes and editing it, as by default jaf tool might give you an error when editing ....but i cant get it to work offline will post if i figure out how to use it
