    @zilla,
    Try NSS instead of JAF.
    When you change the product code, select one from the same product type family. For example, if your phone is RM-428, then select a code from the same group.
    If you need a specific advice, state your current product code.

    Okay, so I'm trying to change my product code. I changed from my original product code into another one to be able to update way back, but this code is for the blue phone and mine is red, so I'd like to switch back.

    I just did a hard reset and I tried using Jaf as the guide says. Upgraded the USB-driver and all, but when I get to read values, all fields are completely empty. It doesn't manage to read any values at all for some reason... What could be wrong? I was thinking about trying NSS, but it seems like half posts in this topic say that it works on the 5800 and half the posts say that it doesn't work, so I'm hesitant.

    NSS works 100% with 5800... very easy.

    I get "Reading values... Error!" then when trying to write my code in anyway, I get "Write new values... Error!" So it doesn't work in either JAF or NSS for me, have I broken the phone? I just hard-resetted it and all, so. I changed the product-code into a different code a long time back, and now I am trying to change it back to default.

    EDIT: Never mind. I uninstalled my Nokia Ovi Suite, then reinstalled it, Replugged my phone, drivers installed and then it worked. I think something with installing the drivers messed up last time. I got my old product code now.

    RE-EDIT: That was actually not the problem. I tried the same thing to change my code to a new one, but it failed. The thing that made it work for me was to NOT select Suite-mode on the phone, I just left the phone as it was and didn't select anything at all. When I did a selection such as suite, it didn't work.

    Thanks

    I think its not virus... Its only exe packer that usually used by virus maker.

    If you doubt it, try googling for another jaf..

    Sorry my bad english..

    I followed the whole tutorial using the JAF instructions and successfully changed the product code to 0574888 Russia which on the Nokia site says it has the new update to 31.2.008 but does not let me update through the OVI suite. I can't re-install the default firmware (30.0.011) because the suite says it's unavailable. I am using Orange Israel service provider.

    Any suggestions on how to bypass this and get the new update?? Thanks in advance for any help.

    @Vadimk,
    That code is still in V21 accroding to Navifirm.
    You should should pick up another product code.
    For Russian language, change to one of these codes for V31.0.101 (be careful about the language):
    0573745: Russia,Belarus Black
    0559378: Russia,Belarus BLUE
    0559237: Russia,Belarus RED
    0592604: RUSSIAN
    0573857: RUSSIAN Black HUNGARY
    0573856: RUSSIAN Black ROMANIA
    0570122: RUSSIAN BLUE HUNGARY
    0570121: RUSSIAN BLUE ROMANIA
    0591352: Russian Navi
    0570123: RUSSIAN RED HUNGARY
    0570120: RUSSIAN RED ROMANIA
