    Nokia X6 RM-559 - The X6^C6 Remix (v32.0.002^40.0.021) by dude2009 (Updated)

    Welcome to The X6^C6 Remix!

Many thanks to binh24, dan-av, newcooller, mara-, OPERATOR_555, alfiemoustache, kotukoylu, Upakul, PNHT, LPHS, Rawand Kurdy, strategist, ishandigipunk, 008Rohit, liliantungary, pirates_killer, PrinceRM-786, playaz, Phoenix88, koss, 5800lover and anyone else who has contributed feedback or suggestions and those who have offered ideas for mods and fixes on the forum.

    The X6^C6 Remix Info

The X6^C6 Remix is a C6 v40.0.021 firmware port for the X6 v32.0.002. It features a fully operational widget homescreen that can be customized to suit your needs. You can control the Music Player directly from the homescreen, check the latest weather report for your region (requires AccuWeather or similar widget). You can start your favourite apps and check calendar entries. If you don't want to do any of that, then simply add new widgets and shortcuts. The choice is yours! The homescreen supports rotation which adds a whole new dimension to your X6.

Other features include innovative media applications such as the Gallery, Music Player and the Videos and TV suites. Plus animated emoticons integrated into messaging, Active Notes, Drawing, E-mail, Maps, Qt integration and a cool text-to-speech Message Reader application.

The X6^C6 Remix is a must for X6 users!

Please note: This CFW is for RM-559 X6 models only!

    MODS & HACKS:

So, if you install an app and can't find it in the default folder, have a look in the other folders

    SCREENSHOTS:

I've added the screenshots in a zip file attached to the post if anyone wants to download them as well.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

You will need to download my CORE, ROFS2 and UDA files. Once downloaded, save them to a folder on your desktop. Then download your country/product code variant with NaviFirm to:
    C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-559\

Delete or move the rofs3 file as this will not be needed.

Make a note of the exact file name of your variant rofs2 file. You will need to rename my rofs2 so that it matches your variant rofs2. Follow this procedure with the uda file (if necessary).

Then move the CORE, ROFS2 and UDA files to:
    C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-559\

If you renamed the files correctly, you should be prompted to overwrite the original files. It's a good idea to backup the original firmware files just in case you may need them again.

    You're now ready to flash!

I used JAF when installing this CFW. There are other methods which some people use but I recommend JAF. If you are unsure of the flashing process, please see the following thread:
    http://forum.dailymobile.net/index.php?topic=24990.0

After flashing, perform a hard reset by entering *#7370# into the keypad and then the unlock code which by default is 12345. When the phone reboots, leave it for a minute or two to allow Ovi Store to install automatically. When it's finished, you can run AutoInstaller in order to install the extra apps and games. The use of PNHT's installserver hack is optional as it conflicts with the installation and upgrade of Qt and smart installer apps. To install unsigned apps, you have a couple of options available. You can use the Install Server RP+ patch which is included in the CFW and is automatically copied to E:\Patches. Alternatively, after flashing and hard resetting, you can use File Browser to copy installserver.exe from Z:\Temp\installserver\ to C:\sys\bin\. In order to do this, you will need to change the 'Bypass plat. security' setting to 'Yes' in File Browser's settings.

    KNOWN ISSUES & WORKAROUNDS:

    Contacts Widget:
Before flashing with this firmware, it is a good idea to backup your contacts to the memory card using the following method:
    - Open Contacts then mark all of your contacts
    - Choose 'Copy business card' -> To other memory -> Follow prompts till complete
    - Before you flash, delete the system files and folders from the Mass Memory by connecting your phone to your PC in Mass storage mode. Do not delete the 'Others\Contacts' folder as that contains your backed up contacts
    - When you have finished flashing and completed the hard reset, restore your calendar, bookmarks, messages etc with PC Suite but do not restore contacts
    - After the restoration, restart your phone and then open Contacts then select 'Copy business card' -> From other memory -> Follow prompts till complete
    - Your contacts will now work with the homescreen widget
    - When you have set up all your favourite contacts, default numbers and speed dialling preferences, you can then backup the contacts data with PC Suite. You will then be able to restore the data after future flashes/hard resets and all your preferences will be restored

    FUTURE RELEASES:

Restore X6 swipe options to silence alarms.

Find possible fix for Bluetooth transfer mod.

I'm open to suggestions for future modifications or application inclusions.

Please bear in mind that I accept no responsibility for any damage caused on your phone when installing this custom firmware. I have tested this CFW numerous times on my own phone and have found it to be completely stable and safe. However, that does not mean it will be the same for your phone.

If anyone has any questions or problems with the CFW, I will try my best to help. Also, i'm happy to take on board suggestions for apps or modifications to include for future releases as well as any criticisms.

Great, long waited remix update is finaly here
For now it has been the most stable cfw for x6 wich I tried.
    Will try it ASAP.

Dude2009@ must I mod 10283389.dll for full screen qwerty or just add my language peninputwindowconfiginfo_**.rsc?
I'm asking because 11x4 keyboard is only in english language.

Did you use C5-03 tap or as previous used swipe? Before I likrd swipe more, but now I like tap more, because it's quicker and in swipe if you don't swipe enough through screen it won't unlock.

Second thing: I think mara lang packs (exctracted from core+rofs2) are better then pnht (don't know for pnht) - less bugs like false ovi store r** files (we had to delete it to work) and deleting some files for maps to work, same goes for music player (equlizer didn't work in my lang, in english all perfect).

Not 100% sure as I don't integrate any languages but I think you will be ok by just adding your peninputvkbwindowconfiginfo_*.rsc file.
