It seems to only be affecting the built-in browser, Opera Mobile and all other applications seem to be fine. I'm attaching two screengrabs of slashdot. One with Normal fonts at 100% and one with Normal fonts at 130%. You can see even on the 130% one which looks good in the body, the smaller fonts in the header are still poor. Interestingly enough, if you got to a small enough font, it is smoothed out nicely, it is just the fonts in the mid-range sizes that look bad on my phone.

Hope this helps some and hopefully you can reproduce it.

it actually does this on my end too. just noticed this last night when i was replying in dailymobile through my phone. i don't think it's an issue with the phone but the browser itself. i'm not sure i know how to correct it but i'll look into it. thanks for reporting it mate! +1

FOUND IT! IT's called FontRouterMan and man it's complicated! 1st one to get it working get's a thanks! Just remeber how to navigate your phone as your text might go missing and you'll have to navigate your phone without words and if you can get it working, there may be problems with missing characters so I don't know.

The setting that you'd want to be mucking around with is Bitmap Type.

Oreo: Did you have to customise the font to get them to work? It would be really nice if you could upload it to avoid missing symbols. You also missed a symbol in the wifi password input screen. Also if you could figure out how FontRouterMan got the font to look so pritty then you might be able to find the setting in the firmware and permanently make font pritty for the whole world!

    Hi Oreo,

I flashed and It does not work:

    - The first boot did not ask for time or country or anything.
    - I get your Minima 1.2 startup screen with sound.
    - Then I get to the home screen wallpaper with shortcut bar and the configure e-mail text. Nothing else.
    - I do not have operator name or time no softbutton text and no other icons (batt status, signal, Connection/Bluetooth.

But I did receive a phone call, so the phone works !

Now I will flash without Canadian french...

    I'll be back soon. Thanks

Re-flashing with your ROFS2 (english only).

Everything looks good (without any testing). This time, it asked me for country and city and date and time.

I have all the icons on the home screen.

Of course, I have only the English language.

Now, should I try to change my product code to the ISAREL 0581748 ?
Or should I download NAM 0577454 vanilla firmware with NAVIFIRM and rename you Minima file names to match the one I would download with navifirm?

If the problem is with the Canadian french ROFS2. Can I setup my phone (contacts, apps, music, Images, etc) with english and later re-flash without APE Variant ?

    Please tell me more. Thanks.

there's probably something wrong with the french canadian rofs2 then. i have to check up on that.

you're right mate. you can simply flash english now and when we get a working rofs2 with french canadian, simply don't flash it with ape and you'll keep everything else.
