For sure you should avoid, mate. RM-356 and RM-428 differences are exactly when it comes to 3G frequencies.

So if you depend on 3G, you should wait till Nokia releases v50 for RM-428 and till someone release a CFW based on it.

Although there are other CFW options for v40 RM-428, no v50 yet.

+1 for you, recently flashed my phone with v50 software from pnht and after a few days i placed some files in the wrong directory thinking they should belong there

Result was that the installer app. that starts up the home screen keep repeating itself.

Had to do a hard reset

But with your firmware i'm experiencing a much faster telephone! So thx!

Also i installed sygic and it won't start! So if its possible please make it work in your next firmware!

Try re-format your MMC, maybe some files corrupted (If you're installing your garmin in your MMC)

it's okay now. i didn't installed JAF so it did not work. I installed JAF first and then run OGM_JAF_PKEY_Emulator_v3.exe
    Checking Windows version ...
Windows version: Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Searching for JAF install location ...
    Saved winscard.dll to: C:\Program Files\ODEON\JAF\winscard.dll
    Saved original.dll to: C:\Program Files\ODEON\JAF\original.dll
    Starting JCOP emulator ...
    Saved JCOP.EXE to: C:\Program Files\ODEON\JAF\JCOP.EXE
JCOP emulator started succesfull on port 8050
    Powering JCOP simulator ...
Uploading PKEY applets to JCOP simulator ...
    Verify installed PKEY applets ...
    PKEY applets ready to use
Generated PKEY details: [SN: 9000BC25] [TYPE: PKEY Raskal]
    Starting JAF Main software ...
KEEP OGM PKEY OPENED UNTIL WORK WITH ANY JAF SOFTWARE
    is the installation finished?
is it okay to close OGM_JAF_PKEY_Emulator_v3.exe now?

when I launch JAF or JAF Logger, why does it say ERROR: Can't load WinSCard.dll?
what should be the problem? did something went wrong during the installation?

(sorry for the double post. internet connection got lost. :P )

oh i used to get the same error, but i can't for the life of me remember what i did!

edit: To fix, just goto C:\Program Files\ODEON\JAF and delete following files:
    > winscard.dll - fake dll with modified function calls
    > original.dll - originally this file is Microsoft's Dynamic Library for SmartCard Communication (WINSCARD.DLL)
    > JCOP.EXE - JCOP card emulation and testing software
