    Default Nokia C5-03 - Symbian^1 | Firmware Porting/Modding/General Discussion

Nokia C5-03 is the next Symbian^1 phone.According to GSM Arena its coming at Q4, 2010 (Most probably december, this year). Unlike the C6 or N97 mini it has multiple homescreens and it uses Symbian^1 OS., basically the same software as Nokia 5800 or other S60 v5 phones though the software will be little updated(Web Browser for example).

It offers some new features such as single-tap Lock and it's processor is clocked at 600 mhz. I'm trying to port C5-03 Firmware.

    Nokia C5-03 Firmware is out!

    Download Nokia C5-03 Firmware.

Interesting Fact About Nokia C5-03's Processor : It uses the same ARM11 CPU as present on Nokia 5530, 523x or X6 though the clock speed is 600 mhz for the C5-03.So we can guess that our phone's CPUs are underclocked. (Except 5800, which originally had ARM9 369mhz CPU)

From now on, All the discussions related to the Nokia C5-03 FW Porting / Modding or asking some general queries should be done here.

    Thats great news!
But what do you mean with multiple homescreens?
The Contacts, Shortcuts and basic homescreens or the N97/C6 HS with more pages?

Dont worry about ARM11 clock speed. It can go all the way up to 768MHz if needed . All of our phones are underclocked.

Currently the speed of 5800,5530,523x CPU Speed same 434mhz So I think we're gonna get this fw without overclocking. Its basically the same OS as we're using currently.

Yes. The original speed of an ARM11 CPU is 600mhz.

Theres no such thing as an original speed. Theres is only a minimum stable frequency and a maximum stable frequency. Maximum stable frequency is 768Mhz and less.
