    Default My Model Number is diff Than it should be

    I installed my own cfw and when dialed *#0000# it showed my model number as Nokia 5235 instead of Nokia 5230 ...Help me get my model number proper ...The reason i want it is ovi store Detects my phone model as Nokia 5235 not nokia 5230

    open cooked fw rofs files and check the text files in "versions" folder, 1 of them has that "model" no. . CHANGE IT and reflash.. there u go !

    i tried but no text file had the number..i opened my xplore and saw that product.txt is the one to do so.. but i cant edit it and on Computer rofs2 folder doesn have it

    Lol its in the ROFS3 file

    How to extract rofs3 ??

    i know what to do after extracting ...find the product.txt in resource/versions folder but how do i extract with nokiaeditor v7

    on nokiaeditor press open then you'll see the filetypes down there (UDA,ROFS2) Change it to all files then open your rofs3. When you extract it'll go into your rofs2 folder

    ya i got it ..thanks anyhow but ah my phone still syas 5235 but it shuld be 5230 .. Store.ovi.com recognizes it as 5228 WTF

    bro its cause u flashed with fw of another phon with same hardware revision...i.e
    i had rm-625 N5233 but i flashed it 2 RM-625 5228(due to lack of euro variant for 5233)...
    nw my phone detected as N5228.....but no need to worry u can get over this by using core of Nokia 5230, no need 2 change the rst...

    i had download the exact model number core files rofs2 and all others for my country and my product code ..still
