    Default Fullscreen keyboard not working

I'm trying to add a full BR-PT (76) language support to my CFW but for some reason the fullscreen keyboard won't work. It drives me nuts, been trying for hours now. Could anyone please tell me which files are related to the keyboard? And/or are there any special files needed for BR-PT?

As far as I know these files should do the trick:
    resource\multitap\PtiPortuguese.rsc
    resource\plugins\peninputhwrwindowconfiginfo_76.rs c
    resource\plugins\peninputvkbwindowconfiginfo_76.rs c
    resource\qwerty\PtiQwertyPortuguese.rsc

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Mate,

I┤m kinda n00b with this, but have you tried to extract a language pack from a working FW? There a lot of them in Navifirm.

Lemme know if I can help you in some other way.

    See ya,

Yeah indeed will just try to completely redo it and hope that will fix it.. I encountered this while testing a send in firmware and was hoping to learn from it. But I have to add that I've manually added numerous different languages to both v40 and v50 firmware. Also fixed many faulty language edits, so I'm known with the files. Never used the language tool btw. And never tried to combine English r01 and BR-PT r76.

I'm about to think that some BR-PT (76) files rely on files from the American English (10) firmware and therefore not work together with English (01) firmwares.

Good thinking there, though I'm almost sure we only have to look at the rofs2 to find the cause of this. I don't get any errors, only the fullscreen keyboard won't work. T9 and all the rest works after hex-editing the rofs2\private\10009d8f\ecom-2-0.spi (T9 database).

Hum... this may be true. We usually have American english + Pt-br in both phone language and T9.

In fact, if you configure T9 to use a pt-br dictionary it would still recognize the english one, so you can write in both languages.

Edit: What about dead keys, isn┤t there a separate file for those? Pt-br full keyboard should have then. If you strike an '┤' and then an 'e' it should produce 'Ú'.

    See ya,

    Man...

I THINK... I can't remember surely... but when I was using your CFW v5 I had the full QWERTY in PT-BR.... I downloaded the english + PT version, added the PT-BR language... now I'm unsure about that... I will re-flash my mobile this weekend with this version just to sure...

Just a n00b question... what's the difference about 10 and 01? 10 is American and 01 is English... ok... duh... but... exactly... what is the real diff?? Because... If does not has too much diff.. why redo the wheel? Use the 10 instead 01 and voila... no??

You have a sure about one thing... PT-BR won't work togheter with English...

    76 x 01 = no
    76 x 10 = yes

    There is some real diff??

I will help you out with anything to accomplish this job.. =)

    Thanks =)

I'm encountering the same problem, but with Romanian full keyboard, did anyone find a solution to this problem?

Dcr, the problem on this i guess is because there is not such a firmware with .r76 and .r01 together, and the qwerty for Brazilian PT includes the š, Ń Ú Ýˇ˙ §, don┤t know what else that could be different.

I tried to do this a while ago when you started using the european versions to make your 4.0 , 5.0 and 6.0 versions of CFW , but there was no way of getting this to work.

I really think there is no easy way of doing it.

And Im pretty sure you already got all the files that are needed to the languages, but its not enough...

Well , I wish you good luck, because I am really interested on that too..

If I can help with anything,, I am brazilian and I do know how to cook.... lol
