Wait... you mean there is already an editor that can handle rofs1?
    That would be groundbreaking news...
    Thanks,
    best regards

Plus, CORE contain too many parts, like UBOOT, ROM, ROFS1, DSP ++++ So it's nearly impossible to edit all these parts, especially that so far, the new core editor is only able to edit the ROFS1 (70% of Core) which wasn't possible before.

By editing all ROFS parts (1,2 and 3) almost 90% of the rom is customizable.

ROM part editing is another story since it's concept isn't the same as editing ROFS images. That's some tough task since rom is buit in a different way, and in order to rebuild it, we need the original building base for each phone which is currently not available.

I agree with Marco about extending support for w wider range of phones. However, this isn't an easy task for us especially that neither me nor Szakalit possess a non touch device to play with
I may be able to get my hands on a number of handsets to play with. Including a lot of 3rd Edition ones.

Where I work have a number of handsets for testing and I am able to borrow them for a few days. As long as I return them in their original state (therefore no upgrading/downgrading) they won't mind. So can flash with a modded version of the current firmware and then just reflash with original one before returning it.

If you want me to try testing a few handsets pm me and we can sort it out.

Look at the thread of Nokia editor. They have given the screen shots there that core is editable. Why they have not released it ? Money

not exactly. we don't know. it could be a number of things like bug fixing. they also will change the way they distribute (at least they're thinking of another way) the software.
