Default is it safely to edit "RM-356_40.0.005_prd.core.C00"?

    NokiaExtractor can work in "RM-356_40.0.005_prd.core.C00"

but is it safely to edit? and is there a limit size for it?

    Does anyone do this?

c00 contains the video and audio codecs

and I want to change that
    enhance and modify these files

That would be a big change
to a new era of firmwares

    XD

Nokia editor is able to extract contents of the .core file and seems to be able to pack it. Although I tried to flash phone with edited file. Phone doesn't boot, just vibrates.
I am thinking to try to put some of the .core files into .rofs2. Maybe even exceed 30mb limit cuz files should get over written, size shouldn't be a problem.

thanks DJNJ and Bl3nch0z for answering

the file before extracting 108 MB but after extracting 70 MB

looks like we need some thing to extract the 38 MB to be able to edit safely

c00 contains some obsolete files like videos and sound standards ....

if size limit, try to delete them before adding more ...

Try to keep the last similar to the size of the original ..

    possibly work, right?

    (I hope...)

ive try adding files to the default c00 when repacking the file size gets smaller, and i didnt delete anything. i think editing the c00 is a lost cause

ive tried overwritting some of the core and the rofs2 with some file from a samsung that can play more file types but no luck
