Default Re: how to remove JoikuSpot, Boingo, Qik and Vlingo?

    i am having some problems
i did almost evrything u said, and i came to the part where u said:

(keep in mind that rofs2 will be flashed last so every file from the core will be replaced)

Just create a dummy-file filled with few "ffffff" in an hex-editor and place it under the same path/name in your rofs2 folder as it is in the core-folder.
i dont understand, by meaning replaced, u mean deleted? so i want to remove Boingo, i have to find where he is located with help of HxD editor, and when i find where is he located in drive z, i should open ROFS2 and ?delete? all files which i found ? eg

    z.:.\.r.e.s.o.u.r.c.e.\.a.p.p.s.\.B.e.w.t.A.p.p.l. _.2.0.0.0.9.A.C.7...r.
    z.:.\.r.e.s.o.u.r.c.e.\.h.e.l.p.\.B.e.w.t.H.e.l.p. _.2.0.0.0.A.5.0.E...h.

should i delete this, or rename or?

    z.:.\.r.e.s.o.u.r.c.e.\.h.e.l.p.\.B.e.w.t.H.e.l.p. _.2.0.0.0.A.5.0.E...h.

IF the files are in your rofs2 folder you can normally delete them.
But IF the files are in core you can't delete them because you can not repack core.
So there you need to rebuild the same file, which is under core, in your rofs2 folder.

    So for example:

    if this file: z.:.\.r.e.s.o.u.r.c.e.\.h.e.l.p.\.B.e.w.t.H.e.l.p. _.2.0.0.0.A.5.0.E...h.

is in core and not in rofs2 you need to create the same file in rofs2 and just fill "fffffff" in the file via hexeditor or similar.

The file from the core will be replaced during flashing with the file from rofs2 - thats all.

As i mentioned the app isn't fully removed (no access to core), but the OS can't handle the fffff-files so they will be ignored (no icon, no startup, etc.).

This is a working workaround till we will be able to repack the core files.

Out of curiosity, how many ff would be enough? I mean the minimun possible is recommended since we´ll be taking space from the ROSF2

    Thanks in advance

now n97 v22 core is repartition by conii
but i think conii add the musicplayer 15.2 which not compatible with n97
so musicplayer not working. . .

I mean, do I have to create a file with the same size full of "FF"s or just a fixed number would be enough for the system to "skip" the file
