that was i'm talking about to spamhere1983, extracting core and then suddenly repack rofs2 without extract it first?.
I think he means extract core, rename rofs2 to core, close nokia editor (DO NOT REPACK CORE), create folder rofs2 inside nokia editor, open nokia editor again and then extract rofs2..

    Then, it should be....

Step 1: download and extract the cleaner.
Step 2: open and extract your fw-core (RM-505_21.0.102_prd.core.C00).
Step 3: rename rofs2 folder to core (or similar).
Step 4: close Nokia Editor (DON'T REPACK CORE).
Step 5: create a new rofs2 folder into Nokia Editor.
Step 6: open again Nokia Editor, open and extract rofs2 (RM-505_21.0.102_prd.rofs2.VXX).

    Step 7: look under core\system\install.....
Step 8: open cmd in cleaner folder.
    Step 9: run cleaner.exe --core <path-to-core> --rofs2 <path-to-rofs2> --sis-stub <path-to-sis-stub>
    Step 10: wait...
    Step 11: repack rofs2...

hey mate today I tried your software...not working atm..

the app I'm trying to remove involves .exes , .pngs, and help files

I noticed that one .rsc and .hlp files have not been replaced with the dummy ones...and that all the images have not been replaced either...

but when I install the software with .sis made by me, with [SA] Installation method, I get the "Update Error"

    I left the stub in...

    do you have any idea?

I managed to get it installing without using your software, deleting all the files related to the software (it hasn't got any file in CORE), leaving the stub, and installing it with a [PA] sis file...
but I couldn't find it in App Manager in this way...

I need to be able to reinstall preinstalled software --> some softwares have files in CORE as well, some doesn't...

thanks in advance for your help...

2kb in use but 15mb max size! in every n97 fw! you can delete safely this 2 txt files = 15mb absolutely free space!
think again.. cook your n97 fw in rofs3 and it will work for all product codes, languages and keyboard layouts.

those are bookmarks. they are editable in the private\101F4CD2\Content\appshelldata.xml file. just find and delete the entries there with any txt editor like notepad.
