Unlike a lot of N97 users that have reported problems, I have successfully cooked myself 3 roms (2 different language packs and 1 attempted combined one).
A general question, has anyone here successfully edited swipolicy with a positive result?

    Cheers

Hi, how did you flash the cooked rom? On Which OS? What have you added/changed in the roms? What firmware version did you cook ?

    Thanks

Tried flashing a non-modified ROFS2 (just extracted and repacked with nokia editor)

    Usually after the line
    Code:
Stopping all operations, returning phone to default mode
the display lights up and the phone boots; when flashing images packed with nokia editor it just stays OFF .

alex_l, a JAF log would be a lot better as it contains a lot more info.
But still I can't see any problems with it, maybe the x64 system bugs it up. Try to install XP on a different partition, and flash/repack firmware from there. It should work.
Or another way is an emulated XP (use VirtualBox, it's the best virtaul PC tool)

    Same here. 'File Corrupted'
Ah well. Got a smooth running 'cooked' ROM with the camera mod, cache changed from c: to e: and an effects pack.
Working on a combined language pack ROM.

(Flashing was done using J.A.F running on Windows 7)
