Im having a kinda annoying problem with this app, I cant find where I change the background picture. I can change the background picture through the theme settings on the phone but this wont apply when Im using handy shell.

so you tried to change the wallpaper settings and it defaults to something else right? one thing i noticed about handy shell is that it does not use the regular standby screen from a theme but another screen. say one for menu etc. but if you were to change a wallpaper under a specific theme that you chose, you should have no problems having that background show up. try this and report back.

is this the program everyone is using whenever i see screenshots like this?

    mufaddal_km's image

i've always wondered how they were able to display 6 shortcut icons on top and three icons at the bottom....

or they're not using 5800? coz i can't seem to display these on my 5800XM...

This is not the default handy shell screen, in portrait you only get 5 shortcuts (landscape there are 6) and there is no way to shortcut menu to a tab. There is very minimal configuring of the shell screen.

I believe (i may be wrong) that this is a screenshot of the symbian 9.4 v5 sdk emulator interface.
I remember reading from a few forum members who were upset that the software menu button and other tabs were missing on the release of 5800XM.

My prediction/ hope is: That the 5800XM was pre-released so that software development was furthered prior to the release of n97. I am hoping that by the launch of N97 there will be another firmware update with the missing or lacking home screen elements.
