Default Re: is there any Remote Desktop app for S60v5?

I tested TSMobiles briefly over wifi and it seemed to work. I could select a custom 640x360 resolution and have the remote desktop fullscreen. I could move the mouse cursor with stylus and click on objects. I could open e.g. task manager and check cpu consumption or computer management and view eventlogs. I could open cmd and input text commands. But soon it started to display a black image with "out of memory" text on some parts of screen, e.g. the task manager cpu graph, so looks like it ran out of ram (I didn't have any other apps open on the phone). So it works, but I have to test it further, if it is worth the cash.

Oh, btw, are there any task manager style apps for 5800, which I could use to check the phones free operating ram and cpu usage?

Yep, handy taskman and best taskman. They are not free apps either.

Hm I tried TSmobiles on my 5800 but I can't connect to any local computers. However: Remote computers (not in my LAN) can be connected. Do I have to have special network settings? I am connecting via my WiFi router. I can use RDP from LAN computers to other LAN computers.

Also: The app does not support the touchscreen - so you only have a half screen.

I can't access my local web server also. I'm wondering if it is just a routing problem or settings prob. Already tried a couple of things but nothing worked.

Nope. As I said: it works fine from other computers. One thing worries me though: On the config page of my router I can see all DHCP clients. All computers on my network show up there with hostname, IP and MAC. Only the 5800 shows up without a hostname - only IP and MAC.

Putty won't work with my (linux based) NAS either. Hmmm....
