Small Font Solution For Nokia E65

Those who are still having problem changing fonts on your E65 phone, here is the solution....

Tested and works nicely on E65 (using Verdana font) with this firmware:
    1.0633.18.01
    11.01.07
    RM-208

Note: To get your phone firmware, press *#0000# on Idle screen

    What you need:
    -PC
    -PC card reader
-Y-Browser or F-Explorer programs in your phone

    Steps:
    1. Using Y-Browser or F-Explorer, go to directory “z:” (of your phone memory). If you do not have these program, go search the forum
    2. Under the “z:” folder, go to folder named “resource”
    3. go to folder named ”fonts”
    4. you will see list of fonts file used by your phone. Note down name of each file. Most likely you will see;

    S60SC.ccc
    S60TCHK.ccc
    S60ZDIGI.ttf
    SWABIU.ttf
    SWABRU.ttf
    SWARIU.ttf
    SWARRU.ttf

    5. Take out your phone memory card and put it into your PC card reader
    6. In your PC, go to folder C:/Windows/Fonts or download fonts from websites
    7. Copy the “verdana.ttf” font file (or any other font file you prefer)
    8. Duplicate font file you copied above (in this case you have to duplicate 7 times) and rename them exactly as mentioned under step 4
    9. Access your memory card and find folder named “resource”. If there is no such folder, create one.
    10. Under the “resource” folder, create a folder named “fonts”
    11. Copy all files you created under step 8, and paste under the “fonts” folder you just created under step 10
    12. Put back your memory card into the phone and turn on the phone

Your phone should now have new fonts

If you want to revert back to original font, just delete all files you created under step 11 and remove the “fonts” folder (in your memory card “resource” folder)

    Good luck.

Rotate The Screen Of Nokia 5700 Without Any Software

As we all know, 5700 does not rotate on landscape using any rotating software!
And even if it rotates, it only does in GALLERY, REAL PLAYER and IM.

So whats the catch? Well u can even rotate it the same way without any software! Only in Gallery, Real player, and IM.

Here's How You Can Do It
-->Twist the phone so that camera starts..
-->Press the right soft key, the gallery will open in landscape mode..
-->Scroll Right So Videos r shown
-->Play any video(it will play in landscape mode)
-->While the vid is playin in landscape mode, Twist ur phone back to its original position
-->The video will remain in landscape mode...
    -->Press da call end key(RED)
--> When u r on da standby screen,Press and hold menu button...u will c gallery
    -->Open the gallery and exit...
--> Enter the gallery again...it will b in landscape mode.....and will keep on being in landscape until U twist it for camera or music.

Very Simple trick, supports all fimrwares!!!

Inside C:\Private folder there are some sub folders :

    \101f401d\Logdbu.dat is the log file.
\101F4CD2\Applications.dat is the file that holds the settings and locations of icons and custom folders located on your phone's MENU.

    1. C:\private\10000850\
contains the mbm file of operator logos

    2. C:\private\100059c9\start.dat
some kind of autorun trigger. I couldnt decode this file, but it is it, I'm sure.. Why I think so? Because only after renaming or moving this file, autorun doesnt work. In all other cases apps start.

    3. C:\private\10202be9\20001079.txt
this location.. in this text file there is code, and a line which says :

also in this file is loads of settings with the graphics processor too, maybe even OC this check it out, im not the experianced when it comes to this, and i do have a spare n95 which i wouldnt care if it blows up, i willing to test it

    graphics settings there..

    4. In Z:/private/101f51f2/PKI/96b7db19a4d...../
    it has files in called
    Code:
    devicecert.der
    deviceprivatekey.der

    5. C:\PRIVATE\101F4CD2\Content\appshelldata.xml
this file contains the whole menu layout (Only N82)

    6. I found some huge file in phone, c:/private/102072c4/reserved.bin, 4.5 Mb size of plain 0xff.
Deleted it and free up phone memory check if your phone has one.
the files are for FOTA (firmware over the air) coz when i remove it, and go to the device mgr. app it reapers, so its safe to remove it, we wont need it as we never get any FOTA updates.

    7. Enjoy your device!

    Tips & Tricks: Removing Themes

Many people have experienced a bug where they will install a theme on their device but when they try to remove it using the Application Manager there is no entry for it. I still see this problem on the latest N80IE firmware and on newer firmware for other devices as well. Don't despair though, as long as you install your themes to your memory card there is an easy way to remove those unwanted themes.

    1. Connect your device to your PC in 'Mass storage' mode - or insert your Mini SD card into a card reader and connect it to your PC.

    2. Once your PC recognizes your card a new drive will appear under 'My Computer'. Open it, and browse to private10207114import.

    3. Browse through each of the folders in this directory to find the theme you would like to remove. The MBM, MIF, and SKN files in each folder should each be named after the theme - so if you want to remove a theme called "MyTheme", look for "MyTheme.mbm" etc.

*Note that you may see some MBM/MIF/SKN files named simply "themepackage.mbm" etc. In this case, simply open the SKN file in Notepad and you will see the actual theme name in the first few lines of text. Here is an example:

n the example you can see that the actual name of the theme is N80 Simplified v2 (created by teddymustupo).

    4. Once you've found the folder containing the theme files you'd like to remove, simply delete the contents of the folder (don't delete the folder itself).

Now put your card back in your phone you'll notice that the theme is no longer listed under themes and you've freed up some space on your memory card.

Keeps up the job Max. Just be careful cause you are posting some tips which are already on the forums. If it continues I might have to lock this topic. Consider yourself warned. Also continue with these useful tips but remember just be unique.
