Default 6680 dead during update! HELP!

Ok so I decided to help my friend by updating his ancient Nokia 6680. Connected to PC just fine, started NSU and downloaded the firmware BUT while updating (dunno when), update froze. NSU reported that it lost connection with the phone and that I should reconnect but the damage was done. Phone has been "bricked". It starts but just stays on a white screen (can't recall if it was a white Nokia screen or just blank). I figured maybe using Phoenix I could revive the phone but the thing is, I don't know where to get the right software (program and firmware). Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone have a link to the 6680 firmware?

since the 6680 is a old phone i didnt think that there are any firmwares out on the net were you can download and re flash it! you need to take the phone to a service center for flashing
    testing

yes there is nothing you can do with a bricked phone, well unless you use phoneix software. tho i am not sure if it is compatible with your phone. it should be since its a nokia. you can find info and links to the program in the sticky section under 5800 bricked phone. that might be the only thing you can do short of taking it to nokia care for a fix up.
