just do a test like this:

extract rofs2, add some files to data, and repack

flash with JAF (check Manual Flash, deadUSB)

    ok, it will work

and then, you can mod anything

the file you can mod is RM-484_21.006_012_prd.language.fpsx

it is A ROFS2 file, you can open it with Nokiaeditor 0.6

    do you have tested it?

On N86 RM-485v21 editing the language file, to add RomPatcher, causes problems for me.
I tried Nokia Editor 0.6, and also tried RofsViewer 0.7.6 to rebuild the rofs2r.img file before repacking the fpsx language file.
Flashing with phoenix results in dead phone.
Flashing with JAF looks good, but incoming messaging is broken. Outgoing messaging still works normally.
Flashing a rebuilt uda file still works fine.
