    Default Re: Flashing with JAF for Newbie

    I want to flash a Nokia 5310 XpressMusic using JAF. I have downloaded the necessary files using Navifirm.

    But the problem is which settings should I use? Can I use the same setting used for Nokia 5800 (untick CRT, tick dead usb, normal mode etc.) or a different setting?

    Please help me. Thanks in advance!

    Same with my E72. Even I use Jaf 1.98.66, I still get the note that:
    CMT: 005800EC <=> SAMSUNG -> Type not in database
    APE: 00000000 <=> Flash -> not detected

    I think it due to the jaf loader is not updated (RAPIDOv1_2nd.fg and RAPIDOV1_algo.fg). Any one plz help.....

    hurray ..at last ive flashed my nokia 6700 slide ...its working perfectly...

    this time for windows 7 i did few changes like
    1.removed driver updates made by jaf
    2.after removing jaf i install phoenix and updated few .dl's like winscard.dll

    * those who have usb charging phones try this way *

    connect your mobile to pc suite and open phonenix and follow the mentioned methods in the first page before hitting refurbish button in the end REMOVE THE BATTERY AND HIT REFURBISH BUTTON IN PHOENIX . Wait untill phoenix shows POWER ON YOUR PHONE , quickly keep the battery in and press the power button for 1second , and everything will go smoothly as expected ..... hope it helps [+1 chandarakk , ive only tried bcos of u and visualise ]

    hi!

    i don't know if this is the right topic but...

    i have a nokia 5230 white/silver navi edition with the 20.0.5 firmware. most CFWs are for 21.0.4 (or smth like that) but when i try to update the FW through nokia ovi suite it says that 20.0.5 is the latest version. can i use navifirm and flash the phone with a newer firmware? my phone is rm-588 and there are 2 new FW versions for it on navifirm...

    thx!
