Thanks a bunch for making me read the thing carefully! I did a full deinstall of JAF, ovi suite and so on, then proceeded as per post #1 - success! Although I'm a bit dissatisfied with the current CFM (Eclipse w/ Omnia) - I still need to look a bit around before taking the 5230 as my main phone.

Thanks!! JAF finally found my phone!!
I just downloaded and installed this, http://www.4shared.com/file/rMcxqHys...ROM_DRIVER.htm
it's the Nokia USB ROM DRIVER. that's what I'm missing. I searched in 4shared and I found that
Hey man, I downloaded it but nothing happens if I try to install.....should the files be put somewhere specific? And also if I connect my phone nothing happens at the pc, not even an error message. but my phone does ask me what connection i want to make. So for me, don't know what the H is wrong now, phone hardware??

I remembered my first time learning how to flash my N81 , its pretty easy once you get use to it, Here's my question, will over flashing your phone kills it? like CPU over used or sort in a way `w`

i have flashed my phones (except the N95) numerous times and my laptop always detects the phones. but now it won't see the N95. The others are being detected (N97 and N81) but not the N95. when i connect the cable, on the phone it asks me which mode I want to connect but still the pc doesn't recognize it's being attached.....
    I'm tired....
