Please forgive a Newbie for not reading all 77 pages!

I wish to flash a Nokia 6700 Classic to the latest 13.10. If flashing doesn't resolve my issues I would need to return the phone to the retailer. Can I flash back to the current version 10.50?

Are there any negatives to flashing with Jaf? As above I need to ensure that the IMEI & product numbers remain unchanged.

Is there anything covered in the following pages that I need to be aware of that isn't covered in the OP?

    I'm on W7 Home Premium 64.

    Edit
Doh! I've just noticed this thread is under S60 & I believe the 6700 is S40. Is the process the same?

yes, the process is mostly the same. i've already tried flashing an s40 device (3120 classic), and it worked brilliantly.

yes, the imei will never be changed. also, the product won't unless you opt to in the check box underneath the name of the firmware variant. it's unchecked by default so no worries.

Are you flashing your phone with a CFW?

Did u delete these folders (sys, system, private, resource) in your memory card before flashing?

Then, did u do a setting restore right after you finished flashing?

I'm afraid I wimped out & returned the handsets to the retailer. Couldn't take the chance of something going wrong & wrecking my chance of a refund.
