Maybe its just me, but I fail to see the big deal when we already have iSMS if we want threaded messaging.

It's software, so what do you think?

So you like to have to sign it or hack you phone (when you get a new one), install it, and then be able to use it?

I prefer that it's there already - and thus using less RAM, CPU and phone memory. Also it means that Nokia can use this as a sells argument (or actually this just removes one of the arguments the common user has to not buy a Nokia).

And my own opinion about iSMS is that it's not the most stable and reliable software out there.

My phone is not hacked and I have iSMS. And iSMS works very well on my phone. for RAM issues, well I have around 46mb free RAM with it so I feel that's OK.

Then you have signet it yourselves.

But Nokia (and probebly also the TC) was thinking of the users that don't know of iSMS and/or they that don't like to have to install apps for everything.

But you maybe likes installing 3rd party apps, and that's up to you.

A smartphone with no apps is pretty much no different from a java phone. Even apps from Ovi Store are third party apps.

My mistake, I meant 3rd party apps for basic features like fMMS on the N900 or Cydia for the Iphone. These days threded texts is standard, so there it should be so in a Nokia to.
