Expansys has already posted Samsung Galaxy S in their website for Holland. The pre-order price is 600 EUR.

The PowerVR SGX540-gpu in this phone should be more than 3 times faster than those with Snapdragon processors...

I don't get it. I'm a bit dumb with processors, but is a higher CPU/no GPU better than a lower CPU/higher GPU powered phone? Or is it the other way around?

It isn't always about Mhz and codenames, it's also about the Operating System and how it is optimized for the CPU and GPU used within. Symbian is light, the N97 was slow because the CPU has to do what was supposed to be GPU's job (decoding videos, transitions and games) now that Nokia finally decided to use powerful GPU once again for such matters, what they wanted is that GPU, there is no point using OMAP3430 or Snapdragon since they come with their own GPU. Would you like to pay for something you are not going to use ?

    BCM2727 Profile:
    * High Definition (HD) Video with (720p) H.264 Encode and Decode, both High Profile at 30 fps and supports all major video compression algorithms, including H.263, MPEG 4/2/1, and VC-1
    * Ultra Low Power for Extended Usage with audio decode <10 mW supporting music player time of 60 hours for system and HD H.264 Video+AAC record <450 mW supporting HD camcorder capture time of over three hours for system
    * Consumer camcorder in your pocket with high-quality HD 720p video capture
    * Professional quality imaging from low-cost sensors and lens systems with high-performance ISP

    P.S btw bronxboy You rocks!!!!
