FYI, you probably don't need to disassemble anything. Just understand how C stores that date in assembly, then search the binary for that string. I did something similar years ago to fix a problem in a desktop application. The string was more common that expected and it took many tries, but I did succeed. I don't use WhatsApp on my E73, assuming there's still a working version, but maybe somebody else can run with the idea?

Mario, I haven't and it seems it's harder than we think:

sealabr: Looks like the WA 1.6 (yowsup protocol) will be discontinued in June 30, 2017, Only WA 2.0 will be used in whatsapp, Anyone know if there any project with api using WA 2.0?*

WA 1.6 protocol will be deprecated in June 30, 2017*
Dropbox API v1 ... 'll be turning off API v1 ... on 6/28/2017#

In order words: both WhatsApp and FilesPlus (Dropbox module) will not work anymore by the end of this month.

*End of Yowsup June 30, 2017 (WA 1.6 protocol)

That's true, but fileplus has been updated after the official store was shyu down. And not onlly once, I think it was 2-3 updates. So maybe the developer is still interested in updating the app (although I wouldn't bet on it)

You're right! Meeki has updated the app for a few times including introducing a workaround on Dropbox verification that kept the app going. Let's hope that he'll release a FilesPlus update based on Dropbox API v2 which'll last for a few years' time. It's one of the vital apps on S^3

Well, to be honest, it's more the child in me that still wants to play.

I know, to move is inevitable, it's the curiosity to see, if it would be possible...

Guys, it's time to act, now more than ever! Seems like Whatsapp really has postponed the end for blackberry and S40 to the end of 2017 (S40 even 201, but S60 will die in july! If you still have the slightest interest in WA on S60, you should try and contact them.

Btw, this change of Whatsapp makes me even more think, it's not the old protocol that ends in july but it's just the app timing out. Or do you think S40 supports newer protocol?

    Hello you all!
A "little" problem, maybe occurred in the last few hours to some other users..
Even if downloaded, directly from your website support, last version for Symbian S60 (2.16.57), today in the afternoon a popup appears on the screen showing a message like this:
"Sorry, your version is an old one. Please download last version from www.whatsapp.com/download".
I've tryied sevaeral times to re-install both original an modded version, with the same result: app doesn't work no more.
    How is it possible?
    Somebody has got a solution?
    Thank you all in advance!!!!
