Default Orange San Francisco/ZTE Blade - Should I Buy?

ZTE Blade is available locked to Orange UK for 110 (140), it runs 2.1 w/ Orange crap, and ZTE are making Froyo for it (leaked alphas available)
Most of the specs are excellent for the price - except it's just 600mhz - and camera is 3.2mp of crap
On 2.1 it gets 400, while on 2.2 it gets 700
Hopefully a stable kernel OC @ 800mhz will be available soon

Paul, Admin of MoDaCo, has really brought life to this phone and has made a nice review

Unfortunately for me, in 1916 communist terrorists revolted against the UK and we are no longer part of it :P so the issues are:
ZTE has crappy product control, and I will need to be able to return phone to shop to get a replacement
Orange UK is, you guessed it [!] only in the UK, fortunately for me the UK still control a bit of my country
Unfortunately, I live as far as possible away from Northern Ireland as you can and still have a bus service, and its seven hours to NI
I think I will try to convince my parents to Christmas shop in NI.

    Thoughts?

The phone specs are looking okay. Yeah it's cheap but not coming for a very big brand, so that's understandable.

Thing to consider are how durable the phone's going to be. The processor looks older/average and the camera is also average (I wouldn't like to settle down with a 3.2MP Cam if I'm upgrading from my current phone).

The plus points are the capacitive touchscreen and OLED display.

So in the end it's up to you what you're looking for...

ZTE are actually a cellular giant, but their phone quality control sux real bad

This worries me but it looks OK
    The processor looks older/average
    This is the main issue
OCed to 800mhz would be fine, but no GPU

and the camera is also average (I wouldn't like to settle down with a 3.2MP Cam if I'm upgrading from my current phone).
I've lived with a 3.2 for a year, and have access to a great point and shoot

Yeah but Nokia and ZTE are at two different extremes when it comes to quality and durability!

The phone is really nice. Does it have a QVGA screen? if not, then go buy it! (If you can sacrifice with Asphalt HD and so on)
