    Default MeeGo

Not sure if this is good or bad news for any N900 owner but it seems our Maemo o/s is now obsolete already?

Lets just hope we can upgrade to MeeGo!

Oistano pointed to Nokia's N900, a Linux-based smartphone introduced last year, as an example of devices that would benefit from MeeGo. The N9000 features a 3.5-inch touch screen, a full QWERTY keyboard, four customizable home screens, and Adobe Flash 9.4 support within the N900 Web browser.
..... You don't even need to upgrade if the applications designed for MeeGo follow M5 UI, if not the recompiling should still be quite straightforward.

    Oh and this: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...1&postcount=87
    ...
    - As soon as Qt 4.6 gets officially supported in Maemo 5, the building blocks to be API compatible with MeeGo will be there.

Translation to end users: getting MeeGo apps to run on top of Maemo 5 shouldn't be a rocket science and maybe they just work. MeeGo will attract more developers to this API = more apps = more joy for N900 users.

    Bye bye N900

I can say .. That Nokia will marginalize Maemo and thus would affect the N900

Because the system Maemo will be from the past and will not care for him anymore

They took his good deeds and combined in the new system MeeGo This means that they will develop it later

    so baaaaaaaaad Nokia

    you kill N900

    @adrigoool
Quite the opposite ! The N900 will be the first device to profit from this, Maemo6 = MeeGo 1.0
I mean if OSX* can run on the N900, why would MeeGo not ?

*OK,ok, it took more than 2hrs to load, but as proof of concept it was very interesting.

    Go Nokia Go !

And the N900 is dead because the successor is 10 month away? This aint Siemens that released new phones only once a year! When the new MeeGo comes the N900 will be old anyway, and if Nokia does a N95 again and think that they can relay on a single model to be top of the line for another two years they will be dead in that time!
