    Default HTC Desire Music Player

    Hi,

I am looking at getting the HTC Desire, but was wondering how the music player compares to my current phone - Nokia 5800. The sound quality on my 5800 is excellent!

    Thanks

Hi! i done the 5800 to desire swap a weeks ago now and dont regret a thing.....the music quality thru the speakers definatly doesnt compare to the 5800....not as loud or got as much depth...but it isnt a dedicated music phone is it?? and thru the headphones, its isnt quite as good as the 5800, theres a very very slight hiss when theres no music playing....but bearing in mind, i am being very picky here, it is still very good.
And if your worried about the battery if u have read any reviews...then i just like to say it does get better after a few times of draining the battery down to zero and fully charge. Iv had mine a week and its noticably alot better, probably cos im not on it 24 hours a day lol....but i was listening to music most the day with it...and using the internet...few texts and calls, and it took me to about 55% after about 11 hours...which isnt bad at all really....lol
...anyways, sorry for the essay...just my view ;P hope it helps

You can wait that the X10's music player get adapted to HTC(by xda geeks) but not before that SE release the 2.1 OS for x10.
Anyway did you search in the Market?

Thanks for your comments djs_90. I guess I'm a little spoilt with the 5800, as you say it is a dedicated music phone. I can't fault the music quality on it. It sounds as if the Desire is good enough for music anyway...and there's a whole lot more where it will beat the Nokia! Do you use the supplied headphones or your own?
The battery doesn't sound too bad at all from your description. That's reassuring to know.
    Cheers

Battery can be very good if you use a modded kernel like the IntersektRaven. My N1 can have 48h to 3 days battery depending on usage
