I understand that if you have a limited budget, but you can't call it high-end.
Look carefully at that configuration and try to find benchmarks for it.
The CPU is an old Nehalem low-end processor. High-ends are the second generation Core i7 CPUs.
Graphics is an old entry level ATI HD 5470 (score 3500 on 3DMark06). High end graphics cards show a score of more than 10000 points on this benchmark (like HD5870).
RAM needs to be at least 4GB and high speed.
HDD for high end notebooks are either SSDs or high-speed HDDs.
Screen resolutions for high-ends come sometimes in Full HD.

There you go. The configuration above costs about 600-700 EUR and that is an entry level price. High-end configurations are above 1000 EUR.

    This is my new beast
    HDD: 120gb (the same)
    Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 940 - 3.00 GHz - 8.5 mb shared cache
RAM: 2.00 GB (these days going to get 2x2 gb)
Video card: ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5
    CD/DVD: Speedplus (same)
    Keyboard: Logitech Y-SAE71 Black (same)
Mouse: Trust Laser Mouse Carbon Edition MI-6970C(same)
    and Monitor: Philips 222E - 21.5'

P.S. When everybody says that AMD is a heating machine and it gets 60+ ░C I totally disagree. Mine always gets 35-40 ░C no matter what i do.
