Default JoikuSpot Mobile Speed Test Results!

    Hey Guys

I haven't posted here in a long time due to me going out more and shit. So I just bought JoikuSpot Premium, and I must say its great. Been using it at school and everything where ever I have a 3.5/3G Connection. Here is a test result, downloading through WiFi on JoikuSpot through 3.5G connection.

It's that good I could actually live with it if I was guaranteed a permenant 3.5G signal. Just hope my plan provider doesn't get wound up with the excessive use!

    Thanks

For mobile internet? Thats downloading. I think thats pretty fast, especially through a PC and broadcaster over WLAN. I haven't seen anyone posted better TBH, everyone posts in "kbits/s" not "kbp/s" and hence "kbits/s" is to the power of 10 on kbps.

Pretty nifty. Why did I look into this? I am internet banned at school, so I can get on internet now without having to bypass technicians.

Unfortunately however the JoikuSpot doesn't seem to get the most of the bandwidth, as I wrote in another thread already.
    Otherwise a good software, though.

Don't have access to the screenshot right now, but I did a test the other day. Using joikuspot in my 5800XM and a laptop, bredbandskollen reported 2.65mbit/s download and 0.36mbit/s upload. Service provider is Tele2. Joikuspot is very usable and gives ur laptop access almost everywhere

Here's another example of downloading with JoikuSpot (a 1GB file via ftp). Not very impressive, is it?

Here are two screenshots, one from bredbandskollen.se and one from downloading an ubuntu-iso from ftp.sunet.se. Pretty satisfied with the speed
Fully usable as a replacement for a fixed internetsolution, if you don't play games that require fast ping and such and don't download much heavy files, since most mobile operators have a maximum included volume per month.
Btw, you Tele2 users can try switching accesspoint. The regular mobilesubscriptions with additional datapackage use internet.tele2.se. The mobile broadband customers use mobileinternet.tele2.se . Which gives slightly faster speeds in my case
I'm a regular mobilesubscription user, but I like everyone else of those also can use mobileinternet.tele2.se. So you can try and swap and see if you get better speed
Of course, which accesspoint (APN) that gives the better speed depends on how many is sharing that particular apn the same time you are on it.
