i think they should start concentrating more on display instead of aspect ratio it is much more important to have a higher than qvga resolution on big screens

Yeah, then the screens would have to be bigger than 2'8 inch screens today. Cause anything beyond that which does not have a touch screen is pretty much useless

There is obviously a difference in the screens, so post #1 is comparing apples to oranges. How about going further and putting, say an AMOLED display of 64k colors vs. the iPhone. Screen tech and contrast ratios will always make things look better.

Everybody forgets one of the most important thing - The responsive time, espeically for touch phones.
As I known so far, tft is better than OLED in regarding the responsive time. Besides, the production expense oF OLED is higher than that of TFT.

    well technically,

mobile phone with 256k screen can display 256000 different colors
and mobile phone with 16m screen can display 16 million colors... That means phone with 16m screen can display all the colors that 256k screen can show, but vice versa is not true. And 16m color screen is better as it is closer to the computer, the comparision would have been perfect if the screen snap taken with 256k and 16m phones. the picture attached were taken by another mobile or camera externally. So camera might have different effect of backlight that these phone might have

Difference in those photos has nothing to do with amount of colour really. it's more about type of screen and backlight. OLED and AMOLED screens are usually brighter than TFT, ofcourse it depends on overall lighting conditions too .
