Default HTC Legend vs Samsung Omnia II i8000

I am in need of a new phone, looking around the 450~500 AUD mark and I have noticed these two phones seem to really jump out at me.

Sitting at 470AUD is the omnia II, good hardware, WinMo OS
Sitting at 540AUD is the legend, smaller screen, more of a organizer/contacts phone, Android.

Nowadays, I probably need a phone to browse online, easily contact people, organize my life.

comparing the two phone specs on http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3...2=3141#results ,

The HTC Legend does what I need, well. But the Omnia II seems to be so much better in terms of hardware.

    My questions are:
    1) Is the Legend worth the extra 70 bucks?
    2) Is WinMo really that much worse than Android?
    3) Is Hardware more important, or software IN YOUR OPINION.

Also, I know everyone saying "If you getting the Legend get the Desire" and whatnot, but it's a LITTLE out of my pricerange.

So between the two phones, which would you prefer and why?

I don't know man. But I prefsr android. For spec, legend has 1ghz snapdragon. That's a winner. But there's no option to upgrading for legend without void the warranty maybe.

HTC Legend doesn't have 1GHz Snapdragon processor. HTC Desire does. The Legend has Qualcomm MSM 7227 600 MHz processor.

It is your needs that should determine what phone is best for you.
For "browse online, easily contact people, organize my life", a phone with a good software is more important than a phone with good HW. WM6.5 is falling behind Android 2.1 and will not be developed in the future. While Omnia II might have a better HW, it will not be much pleasure to use, like the Legend. End of this year the new WP7 will be introduced, but Omnia II will not be upgraded.
Both HW and SW are important, and Legend has a good balance of both for most users. If I were you, I would go for the Legend.
