Default RIM no Longer In Motion

Remember when BBM was cool? Remember when every business man worth their salt had a Blackberry attached to their hip? Remember when only the early adopters had touch-screen phones? Yeah, me neither. *
It's been years since RIM has dominated the North American smartphone market and it's looking worse for them every day. Between their measly 10% market share in the US, awful quarterly sales reports, seriously delayed platform release, and crashing stock prices, it's no wonder there are rumours that every tech company with a mobile division is looking to buy them. Recently, Microsoft and Nokia were in talks to co-purchase the once smartphone giant. Additionally, Amazon entertained the idea of making an acquisition. While nothing is set in stone, one thing remains clear - RIM, the way we know RIM, is finished.
    RIP.

Yes but 10% in the US does not equal the world. Growth in Europe and especially the UK is on the up but its a pity most of the tech journalism is pumped out by corporate controlled US media...

RIM is under a big pressure due to their low sales. As developer they gave me a PlayBook in return for an app original made for android only. Hope the regain market sales.
