If Google will not release the N2 before 2011 then the N1 will have it for sure by Christmas.
Of course you should add a couple of weeks before CM and Enomther release their own version of 3.0, I hope this time Google will listen to the consumers and include a trackball wake/colors in the original FW so we will not have to wait for CM and Enom

Actually, there is a good incentive for Google to release 3.0 around X-mas.
By the end of this year, Microsoft is introducing WP7, Nokia bringing MeeGo and Symbian 3. Releasing Android 3.0 would simply take much attention away from those OSs and hurt the whole marketing plans of Microsoft and Nokia.
Just for that reason only - it's all worth it...

I have my doubts that google will release a new nexus two. Eric Schmidt told the press a while back ago that the goal with the nexus one was to get better hardware into android phones, and as he self stated "clearly we succeded" and by that I think he ment that the nexus was only introduced to get the mobile companys going with better hardware on android phones. If however google will release a new nexus then I'll be the first in line to get my hands on one

i havent got it yet but the GS uses a 1GHZ "hummingbird" processor, which is faster compared to the 'snapdragon' that htc phones(droid incredible, desire, evo) and motorola droids.

it also has a dedicated GPU( graphics processing unit) which beats the crap out of the integrated GPU in the snapdragon processors. Makes it awesome for gaming and movies!!
