I don't know the exact timing. Sometime in June?
Remember that also Desire Z should still be updated.

    Which ROM?
Battery drain depends on the ROM you are using.
Call delay bug is typical to Gingerbread vanilla ROMs.

a minute? That's strange. We are talking about the call delay of 2-3 seconds. It's like saying 3 times "Hello" and getting a response only after the 3rd Hello.
Anyway, this is a random effect and happens with some ROMs/kernels only.

I like my phone pure, without anyone telling me what to install on it - not HTC and not any carrier. That way the UI is very light and fast.
In addition, Gingerbread has a lot of small improvements, including the drop-down controls (further enhanced by CM settings), newest kernels and battery life improvement.

What about installing apps in Gingerbread? Are you still restricted to 130MB or whatever on your Desire? If so what solution do you use on GingerVillain (App2SD+, Data2SD....ect)
Sorry for asking a lot of questions but need your advice to select my next custom ROM :-)

I have Desire S-OFF using Alpharev Sense Hboot. In plain language this means adding 70MB to the 148MB available space for /data partition (total about 220MB).
Using custom ROMs like Gingervillain you can have a App2SD+ script which further moves apk files + Dalvik cache to SD card. The condition is to make an additional ext3 partition on it.

So far, I have about 115 user apps and 82 system apps on it (total 197) with more than 95MB free space remaining on the phone. This is plenty for me at this moment. If I feel I need more, then I'll take further steps.

Lol!! I didn't mean a minute like a whole 60sec. I just meant it was taking longer than it should....I reflashed the phone last night and it seems to have resolved the issue.
